Ans. Cold-pressed oil OR Wood Pressed Oil simply means oil extracted naturally by just pressing & crushing the seeds, not applying any external heat to extract oil.
Ans. Refined oils are colorless, odorless and flavorless. The regular refined oils are extracted using solvents and grinding at high speed, which can generate heat up to 200°C, which destroys the oil's taste and micro nutritional values. Trans fats are produced in this process, making them unfit for your heart health. While Wood-Pressed Oil is extracted through pressing and grinding of seeds below a temperature of 40°C. It is a traditional method which is slow and time-consuming, however, it retains its natural flavor, aroma, and micro nutritional values.it is high in antioxidants and vitamins and contains good fats for a healthy heart.
Ans. The temperature of the oil during extraction is less than 30-40 ºC. This temperature is a little over room temperature because of the friction during the pressing/ grinding process. Since the temperature does not exceed 40 ºC, all the essential nutrients, antioxidants & flavours are retained.
Ans. Cold Pressed Oil is NOT expensive if you calculate that these oils have high density (Thickness) and are more viscous than Refined oil, on heating cold-pressed oil, they expand and remain stable, also consider its authenticity, purity, and naturality.
Ans. Yes, Groundnut, Coconut, and Safflower can be used for deep frying. In fact, Safflower oil has the highest smoking point and is best for deep frying. We do not recommend Sesame and Flax-seed Oil for deep frying. Mustard oil has its peculiar pungent taste and is used for deep frying by a few.
